It’s time for my monthly Karina Dresses post and this time it’s the BEAUTIFUL Pink Lily Trudy, 3/4 sleeves at $108. I had no idea just how beautiful this dress was until it arrived and I actually wore it to my very impressive (if I do say so myself) tea party that Alfie and I put on for Mother’s Day. It’s perfect for spring and I mean perfect. Every Karina dress has been made out of the same lightweight, yet stretchy material that is definitely not see through. It makes for such a comfortable fit and this is definitely my favourite so far. In fact I would go as far as saying this is the most perfect style of dress I have ever worn.
The Trudy dress is a sweetheart neckline with full, adjustable coverage as it works kinda like a wrap over, meaning that you can move the material around your bust to cover you up more, or less. It’s a great length on my 5’3 self but I realise it might be a bit on the short size for anyone taller, but I’d definitely try it out anyway. It’s a full swirl skirt which has a lot of movement and like all Karina dresses, you simply wash and hang to dry, no ironing is ever needed. Unlike some brands were they fade and fall about, my Karina dresses are all still going thankfully!
Karina dresses are crafted in Brooklyn, NY and Karina are closing the doors on their Brooklyn studio and moving to Kingston in Upstate New York along with opening up their first retail store! I know I have a lot of readers in the US so if you’re local, do go visit!
Not really a plus size brand as I’m the biggest size Karina do, but I do hope they change this and expand in the future as these are such comfy and easy dresses for women of all sizes. The prints are bold and stylish and their sizing is on point.
XS fits sizes 0-4
S/M fits sizes 6-10
M/L fits sizes 12-14
XL fits sizes 16-18
XXL fits sizes 20-22
As much as I love warmer weather, whenever I go out I feel as if I need everything in the World on me ‘just in case,’ so I LOVE big bags and this one from LYDC London is perfect. I wouldn’t want anything to distract away from my dress, so just a black plain bag is great for me!
