Haircare Favourites of June!

It seems I have unknowingly planned this post rather well, as every single product is discounted or on offer currently! I am told I am quite the enabler when it comes to spending, so I do hope that helps save some pennies as my hair has had an amazing couple of weeks, full of luscious products and pampering, so you may be tempted….. After finally writing about what I use to dye it and putting that question to rest, I must admit, that I don’t use anything special on it….
Sure, when things come through the door my hair gets a couple weeks/months of being treated like a Queen, but when those run out, I never know what I truly want for my hair or what it really needs. It does mean that I love trying out new things though which is why I’m rather excited with this post, as it includes something I have never tried before.
RUSH Multi-Use Oil, RUSH haircare, Salon science
The Salon Science Hydrofoliant Scalp Scrub Aquacacteen has really exceeded expectations and I can definitely see this taking a priority spot in the bathroom cupboard. At £15 (and currently on 3 for 2) the 100ml squeezable bottle is a pre-shampoo treatment that exfoliates and helps remove old skin for a clearer scalp. It’s meant to hydrate and sooth and make way for healthy hair, but my favourite use is to scrub my scalp and remove the red hair dye. For which it is amazing for, seriously. You’re meant to use it on damp hair, which means in-between of washing your hair dye off it would be perfect and then leave it on for 5-10 minutes. You really have to rinse thoroughly as they’re really small pieces and add plenty of conditioner to work them out! I use this fortnightly when I top my hair up but it’s recommended to use it once a week or more if need be.
My second favourite this month has been RUSH Multi-Use Oil, which is now only £7.60 from £9.50. It’s one of the most beautiful hair oils I have ever used and it’s described as a ‘multi-use finishing elixir’ which should only be used on the ends of the hair to ensure strength, shine, and healthy hair. With argan oil and plenty of vitamin E, it’s not hard to see why it’s so luxurious as it really helps dry and damaged hair to feel its best again. It’s also suitable for vegans, and paraben free which I like to hear!
RUSH Multi-Use Oil
Finally, something else that is a little different for me, RUSH Ultimate Blow Dry Lotion 200ml
at £4.80 from £6.00. To be honest, I thought this was another ‘quick dry lotion’ after I didn’t read the bottle properly several times, I have my moments. So I was confused as to why my hair felt amazing but it wasn’t drying any quicker, so don’t expect that. Instead this just ensures that your hair dries softly and tamed for you to be able to do whatever you want with it, from straight to curly! You can use it on wet or dry hair which I rather liked as I’ll often forget to add products and wish I had them on. It even helps to maintain the colour, a big thumbs up from my red hair and contains silicone which will coat the hair to protect it as well as moisturise it.
Have you been using anything special on your hair this month?

  • your hair always looks amazing so i’m more than willing to take advice from you as to what works haha. I do love a good oil because the ends of my hair get so dry and frizzy, never heard of RUSH though so will be having a look, £7.60 isn’t bad either because it doesn’t look like a small bottle
