Lovedrobe always confuse me with their clothes and their sizing. On their actual website, they have really basic dresses that don’t really have anything special about them, however, on ASOS, their evening range is simply stunning and so sophisticated! It doesn’t mean that I don’t like their clothes, I’m just yet to find something that’s the perfect fit and wows me. The last dress I wore was seriously too big everywhere and made me look a little weird. This Floral Print Skater Dress in a size 20 is a lot better, but it’s still not perfect. You can clearly see that there’s too much material around my waist, and normally I would just belt it, but then I thought, but no one actually knows what it fits like if I belt it, so, here we are….
It’s quite a short skater dress and comes to a couple inches above the knee, meaning that on my 5’3 self, it’s fine to take a photo in but I would definitely wear leggings if I was going out as it’s too short for my liking. Not that I don’t like getting my legs out, I’d just rather not get *everything* else out, if you catch my drift… On anyone taller, it’ll obviously come up shorter. It’s a really good fit around my now 36GG boobs, and I absolutely love the print and colours. I’m not usually a pink girl, especially not with my bright red hair, which means this is only the way I can really wear pink. The material is quite thin and floaty and now it’s just £20, I would definitely recommend snapping one up if this is to your taste!
At the original price of £40, I’d expect a slightly better design or higher quality of material for my money, so the sale price is definitely spot on. It’s only available in sizes 16-26 and although the waist is odd, I definitely think it’s as true to size as you’ll get with this dress, sizing up would cause problems on the arms and sizing down would make it rather difficult for busts. Unfortunately, it’s definitely not my new favourite dress, but if the weather ever gets hot again, it will definitely come back out!
