One of my favourite things about Christmas is that Glitter is encouraged more than ever. Glitter on your Christmas Trees, Cards, Makeup and nails! From my last post about nails, I describe how utterly hopeless I am at anything fancy, and often, I just wear red nail varnish as it stands out and makes me feel and look dressy. However, around Christmas time I always make an exception and add a little glamour into my life. Last year, it was a bright, red, sparkly colour that I wore absolutely constantly, but unfortunately it chipped constantly, meaning a bottle lasted around a week. This year, thanks To Capital Hair & Beauty, I’ve had an update. I received an amazing package including these three absolutely beautiful shades. Glitter comes in all different shapes, sizes and colours and it was fantastic to see such a wide range, despite there only being three colours. OPI Nail Varnishes are known to be incredible and as soon as you speak of them, everyone knows that. (Well, unless you’re a nail novice like myself, then you nod and smile until you have time to Google them.) I instantly adored these three colours and I now have the struggle of which one to choose.
One of my favourite things about these OPI Glitter Nail Varnishes is that you can wear them on your plain nails, the new nail pro inside of me clearly knows that I meant to type ‘base coat’, and layer them up, or you can wear them on top of nail varnish. You’ll have to excuse the shocking excuse for my nails, but below I show you how OPI Blush Hour looks alone, and on top of my usual red. This pinky/purple nail varnish is definitely very girly and the perfect addition to that Christmas outfit that needs a pop of colour. Next up is OPI I Reached My Gold, which is actually my favourite. I love the contrast between the small glitter and the huge pieces. Thankfully, it’s really easy to manipulate them and place them where you want, meaning if you know remotely what you’re doing, you can create some amazing designs. Finally, OPI Rose of Light is your typical Christmas Glitter. With a slight gold undertone to the entire colour, it’s perfect to wear alone or on top of another colour for those attention grabbing nails.
OPI nail varnished usually retail for around £10, it’s possible to get them cheaper, but if you’re a beauty professional you can head over to Capital Hair where they start at 99p! Capital Hair & Beauty has everything from Nails, Tanning and Beauty all at trade prices meaning beauty professionals can use the best products on you for less.
