Lush Cosmetics Easter 2015
Bath time in the Grogan household just keeps on getting funner and funner, but it does mean I have to keep my ever-growing Lush stash in a safe place on my beauty shelves. By not keeping them in the bathroom, my family can’t sneak one and I’m a lot less likely to run back into my room when I’m about to hop into the bath, which means, my stash isn’t dwindling just yet. However, with the postman came the Lush Easter products and of course, I had to try them out so I could talk about them – it’s a hard job, but somebody has to do it!
A few, I know from my retail days and the Bunch of Carrots at £5.95 with uplifting lemon and cleansing bergamot has indeed been out in previous years. It’s a group of bubble bars that you swirl around your bath and then let your tap water create bubbles! It lasts for baths and baths on end and makes the water feel lovely and soft, just like all of Lush’s products. With how many baths it lasts for, it does mean that it’s incredibly good value for money.
Another product that has been out before is the wonderfully messy, Golden Egg at £3.75. I used to love covering myself with glitter in-store, that was until you found the glitter STILL on you 4 showers and 2 baths later…. Did I mention it’s messy? It’s a bath bomb/bath melt which means it ever so slowly dissolves with softening cocoa butter in your bath before fizzing away in the middle. Perfect for glitter lovers and it smells like food too!
As much as I love seeing past products making a return, I do love trying something new and Lush have certainly impressed this year! Well, apart from the soap, but I’m really not a soap person at all. To me this smells like the traditional rose soap that my Nan would keep next to the sink, no thrills but did the job. Somewhere Over The Rainbow is £4.25 for 100g and has Mandarin oil, Neroli and Rose Absolute. No doubt it’s been incredibly popular, I just tend to always like the different smelling soaps from Lush, rather than traditional scents.
If I had to choose my favourite product based on its name, it would be Hoppity Poppity at £2.50, I just like saying it out loud. This little cutie has relaxing lavender and popping candy to make an exciting yet soothing bath that fizzes away! However, as I’ll choose my favourite based on the actual product and not a quirky name, it has to be the Pot O’ Gold at £3.50 for 100g for me. I’m a sucker for shower jelly, I find the concept hilarious and I used to buy it everyone for Birthdays as it’s just so much fun to see people try and work out what it actually is. Imagine washing with actual jelly, yet a little sturdier and it actually forms up! Even my parent’s love the shower jelly and with Orange, Pineapple, and Vanilla, this smells incredible. It even has a little glitter in it too!
Have you tried any of the Lush Easter range yet? It’ll probably be sold out soon, so you better get a move on!
