Don’t Panic: Christmas Gift Ideas for Men

Christmas Gift Ideas for Men

Buying Christmas presents at last minute doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. It can mean that you catch the sales, or that there’s not enough time for people to go snooping and ruin their presents. It’s the men of my house that I find the hardest to buy for and normally I’m still looking for things up to Christmas Eve! That’s why I’ve left this guide until now so I can help with the last minute shopping.

Grooming

Male grooming has seriously been on the rise in 2016, with more and more men trying the beard life, it means that there’s some awesome brands to choose from. Your local Boots, Sainsburys, Waitrose and Tkmaxx might stock The Real Shaving Co. and they’re such a delight. Alfie has been using this brand most of the year and he adores their facial scrub (so do I!) This brand is extremely affordable as all of their products are under a fiver! They even offer gift sets in certain branches but I would grab a selection and really let the men in your life explore what this brand has to offer.

If the men in your life are already pampered pooches and have a great range of skincare, then you can up their skincare game with a Foreo Luna Go For Men at £85.00. Sure it’s a pricey gift but as a main present for someone, it would enhance any products they already have and make their skincare regime extra luxurious. The Luna Go works on every skin type and it conditions the skin to allow for a better than ever shave. By using the Cleansing Mode you can prep the skin and therefore reduce any irritations that come with shaving. They also have their own Cleanser for Men at 100ml for £25.00 which would definitely make a nice edition to the gift if you’re unsure they have suitable products. I definitely recommend Luna because of their 2-Year Limited Warranty and 10-Year Quality Guarantee. If it comes with assurances like that, I never bat an eyelid at the price! There’s tonnes of these on the market but you can also get Foreo from Boots. Can you tell that Boots saves my Christmas?

Scent

All the men in my house are really open when it comes to fragrances, it is smells nice they like it! There’s no fussing over the bottles not looking manly enough or if it is actually aimed at women, and I really like that about them. Escentric Molecule 01  has been a favourite of Alfie’s all year round, he wears it constantly and it really is the most usual fragrance. It’s an award winning line of scents and it’s made using a single fragrance molecule. It is said to have ‘pheromonic effects on the nose’ and I can definitely say that I notice when Alfie’s wearing it. I do find that they’re very woody but I love that. At £65.50 it is an expensive but exquisite fragrance that makes the men in your life very happy. I’d definitely look into trying something different with scents this Christmas. I’ve been asking Alfie to smell different samples to find out what he likes best.

Hair

Whether the men in your life wear gels, waxes, pomades, sprays, or simply just like a good shampoo, I cannot recommend buying them a few different things to try out. I surprised Alfie last year with an array of different brands (as he was still working out his favourites) and now he can firmly name around 5 pomades that he loves. Most shops have an amazing range of hair products now but I really am impressed with Mr. Thickening Shampoo, 250ml for £10.00 and the Mr. Thickening Conditioner, 200ml for £10.00. My dad has been using these a lot this year and I’m pleased to say that there’s no more worrying if his hair will ever grow! It contains ‘dual active Pea Peptide and Hexapeptide-11’ which clean the scalp as well as promote hair growth.

What I’ve learnt from 3 men in the house is that they like choice, they like a variety of different products, and they like something that is just theirs so pamper the men for Christmas and there will hopefully be smiles all around!
