This will be my last Degustabox* review and I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed receiving them for the past couple months. I’ve found some absolutely mouth watering products and I’ve got to experience all different types of food too. This month’s box came with an announcement that there is now going to be Alcoholic Free Degustaboxes as well as alcoholic ones! Therefore, the bloggers (including myself) were sent both versions to try out, there’s definitely no complaints from me or my official beer tester, my dad.
This month’s Degustabox was definitely more savory than sweet, with a strange array of sweeter products. For August it included:
ZEO Drinks – £1.29 each.
Portlebay Popcorn – £0.79 each.
Maggi So Baked packets – 6 for £5.44
DR Oetker Baking Ingredients – £1.29 each
Hornsby’s Cider – £1.25 each
Green & Black’s Lemon Bar – £2.29
Frank Bar- £0.85
The Berry Company- £1.45
The Zeo Drinks were the first thing that I tried and definitely something that I wouldn’t try again. It’s a light ‘refreshing’ drink with no artificial flavours which means it taste like flat pop. Nice for the Summer if you’re looking for something a little healthier though.
Portlebay popcorn was absolutely amazing, with such unusual flavours like crispy bacon and chilli and lime, I wasn’t sure I’d be a fan. However, I found these savoury snacks to really fill me up despite being low calories and relatively healthy. I shall be keeping a lookout for these in Supermarkets!
This box wasn’t the best for me but it certainly provided plenty of recipe ideas as well as great things to bake and cook with. As I’ve said for every Degustabox now, if you’re someone who likes trying new things, then you definitely need to order one! There’s even a code where you can get £3 off your first box: V4J6G!
Degustabox send this incredibly helpful sheet along every month so you know exactly what you have and how much it should have been. For the last couple boxes there has roughly been about £20 worth of products for just £12 a month.
