After months and months on end I was seriously beyond excited to finally get my hands on a Collectif Dress. What better dress to call my first than this beyond adorable Mermaid Dolores? The Dolores is one of the most-talked about dresses in the vintage fashion world and just about everyone has one, and finally I do too! The Dolores features a low, and perfect sweetheart neckline, adjustable on or off shoulders and it creates the pulled in, fit and flare 1950s look.
The fit of the dress is utter perfection for literally anyone. It makes your boobs look amazing, your waist look amazing and it sits at the perfect length just below the knee. I’m 5’3 but even on someone taller it would still sit perfectly.
The print of the dress is absolutely beautiful, little, pretty mermaids and I love the bright blue against my pale skin and red hair. At £55 it is quite a pricey dress but it’s definitely one you’d bring out for special occasions where you really want to stand out and show yourself off! I’m wearing a size 20 as the Dolores dresses are beautifully true to size. My only issue is the elasticated arms as they’re soooooooo tight and it does become uncomfortable after a while. I need to find someone who knows how to help this.
I was also sent the Lucy Mermaid Cardigan to match my dress and I can quite honestly say I never thought I’d wear bright pink but I loved it! It’s so darn cute and not to mention comfortable. At £39 it’s a quality cardigan and something that you can definitely mix and match in your wardrobe. I’d love more Collectif Cardigans as the designs and patterns are so lovely!
I’ll definitely be adding more Collectif to my wardrobe, I fully understand why everyone loves them and now I am a definite fan.
