Not long ago I was contacted by Cocoa Brown and asked if I wanted to try their fake tan. Now my experience with tanning is not a happy one, in the past I have had little luck. I remember using a ‘gradual’ tan and looking streaky and ridiculous, but now I’m older and becoming increasingly paler, I thought it was time to move on and try again. After researching Cocoa Brown’s fake tan I was already impressed as everyone seemed so happy. After becoming a huge success in Ireland and being featured in the Daily Mail, Cocoa Brown has a fantastic reputation and I completely know why.
My package arrived in a bright pink, shiny envelope. They know the way to a girl’s heart. However, it has taken me forever to get around to actually using it as I didn’t want to get it wrong and look ‘silly’. Now I’ve had the tan on for a couple days, I couldn’t be happier with it. I only left it on for half an hour when you can leave it on for an astonishing 3 hours! But this was just enough to turn my skin into a lovely glowing colour. As Cocoa Brown tan claims there is no horrible fake tan smell, well there was on my hands but I think that’s from TOO much product being on them without protecting them. It went on like a breeze and was really quick, easy, and shockingly not messy at all! The scrub that comes with it is absolutely fantastic as well, I just wish it came with a big pot of it! It’s probably the harshest scrub I’ve ever used like pure sand, and let’s face it, I use a lot of scrubs.
If you don’t see me regularly you would never know because I’m so pale, but now I just look like a normal person with a warmer glow. I was only going to put it on my top half as I never show my legs, but I quickly decided to do it over non-exfoliated or shaved (the horror, I know) legs and it looks absolutely lovely. Nothing has come off on my bedding either like on those horrible programs you see with people covered in tan. The mit made the application even and fast, with its foamy texture it sinks straight into the skin allowing more layers to be applied easily. The tan continues to develop after you wash it off which is fantastic as it means it doesn’t fade quickly. 5 days on I still have a natural glow and I’m already wanting to apply it again!
As a ridiculously pale person who isn’t a fan of fake tan, I am completely converted and would 110% recommend this. Cocoa Brown Fake Tan is currently on sale at Feel Unique, although it retails for a reasonable price anyway. This is definitely one to try!
