City Chic x Evans
As I said across social media, I don’t think I’ve ever been happier with blog photos to be honest, and that’s because of the HORSES in the background. I’ve always loved horses and I’ve always wanted to ride one. Obviously that’s no longer doable with my back but I have been on a horse and carriage in room and that was incredible. We were scouting locations for blog photos and were driving past the field of horses when I asked my friend to stop, and get a horse in the background. I am so thrilled.
I really love the City Chic range at Evans, I think it’s the perfect, edgier brand that Evans so needed on their website for their younger customers. Although it is pretty expensive, when there’s an offer on or it goes into sale, they’re so worth trying out! I picked out this beautiful City Chic Black Off The Shoulder Maxi Dress for a photoshoot I was doing with Lipcote, but unfortunately it arrived when we were already on the train! Which meant it deserved it’s own special shoot, and I think we managed that!
This City Chic dress started off at £80 and now it’s at just £38! The lace edging and sheer panel details are so beautiful! The sizing is a little tricky to get used to, I’ve tried a smaller City Chic before and I could barely fit my boobs in, so this time I asked for the XXL which Evans says transfers over to a 28, and it was definitely too big, maybe for a small 28 but I’m not too sure. I think the size down XL, or 26, would have fit better, I’m skeptical if the L would have but hopefully I’ll get to try more City Chic in the future to get a definite answer for you all!
