The Body Shop have seriously outdone themselves this year and it only takes a quick glance in store to realise that. Last week I was invited to The Body Shop’s Blogger Day in Meadowhall, where you could pop in at any time, be treated to drinks and cakes, a huge discount and a special little thank you gift. I would have gone for the Mango juice, cakes and friendly staff though. Upon arrival the shop looked incredible, the gifts were more expensive looking than ever, but with better prices and handy reusable packaging. As soon as we walked in, Ryan demanded to know what the gorgeous smell was, and we immediately set to finding it out. It didn’t take long to realise that it was the new beautifully smelling Glazed Apple range right in the doorway and we proceeded to rumble through it all making sure we smelt everything. After we finished a quick look, we headed over to the counter just to let them know we were here for the blogger day and the staff took care of us wonderfully. We were shown around the new range and watered with my favourite Mango Juice ever.
We were talked through all the new ranges, including Glazed Apple, normally I’m not a fan of Apple at all but even I found myself wanting to rub the body butter all over my arms. Vanilla Brulee is something that I couldn’t tear myself away from and ended up coming home with the creamiest bubble bath (shower gel) ever. With Vanilla and Fair Trade Honey, I think this might be my favourite Christmas product so far. I also came home with some Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel which didn’t survive long enough for a photo as I’ve already had constant festive bubble baths with it. If you can’t tell, I stocked up on bubble baths and went a little crazy.
As always with The Body Shop and Christmas, the gift boxes are incredible. However, this year it seems that a lot more thought has gone into them with more hat boxes, tins and reusable packaging. There’s even a musical gift which absolutely stole my heart and I got a sneaky peak inside it too, which revealed a gift that is definitely on my wish list. They’ve also added in a extra little things to the gift sets, such as a little notepad with the cutest scrapbook paper. The Body Shop is always on my Christmas list for body butters, scrubs, or presents for other people as each and every year, their sale prices cannot be beaten. Making their product ridiculously good value for money and fantastic presents.
The new Red Musk scent is definitely something that captured my full attention and it seems, the heart’s of Meadowhall’s staff as they all seem to love it too. The cinnamon inside makes such a beautiful and deep perfume than truly smells like Christmas in a bottle. It’s branded as unisex and is perfect for anyone who likes those stronger, muskier and darker smelling perfumes. Usually, this would be right up my street, however, I found it smelt a lot more masculine when on the skin and really suited Ryan!
Not only are the beauty products amazing, but I really loved the festive accessories too, which once again, make beautiful presents. Including this adorable Penguin called Perry who is a bath sponge. There’s also the matching polar bear, Bob.
My favourite thing in The Body Shop was definitely this adorable and sassy makeup bag, which really put a smile on my face. Not only was The Body Shop event lovely as it was nice to be able to stroll in at any point of the day when you were free, but it was also amazing to see such friendly and passionate staff that were also blown away by the Christmas products this year. I think that when a company can surprise their staff as much as their customers, there’s definitely something special about the range.
