Bold in Orange with Joanie Clothing

I’m so excited to finally be trying out some things from Joanie Clothing, but I’m devastated that I only started to hear about them when they were phasing out their plus range. Well, sizes 24 and 26. It’s such terrible timing, but at the same time most of what they do have left in a 24 and 26 is now in their sale, meaning us plus gals can grab a real pretty bargain!

I’ve had my eye on this skirt for weeks now and it wasn’t until I saw it on someone that I decided I definitely needed it in my life. The Sofia Portuguese Border Skirt is so beautiful! It’s available in sizes 8 – 26 and it’s £28. I heard from quite a few people that I should size up and it was indeed the case, a 24 is the perfect and very comfortable fit for me.

This is a super lightweight skirt (as it’s mostly cotton) which is perfect for the Summer and the hotter weather that will soon be here. It definitely needs a good iron as it creases easily, but it’s so floaty and comfortable that you can’t be annoyed. It’s a great length and well below my knee on my 5’3 frame. It fastens with a zipper and a button, both of which seem pretty good quality. Everyone hates dodgy zips!

Not only does the super bright orange attract your eye, but I love the striking pattern around the border, it’s just so pretty. I already can’t wait to wear this in Spain, but I’ll be wearing it with my white harness 3/4 sleeved top from Boohoo instead, for a much brighter look. Here I’m wearing it with my Newlook vest and my trusty Pink Clove Lace jacket, both of which are sadly out of stock.

My shoes look a little plain but they’ve actually got a gold heel and they’re from the very impressive Extra Wide Fit range at Newlook. It’s by far the best wide fit range I’ve ever tried as I have super wide feet and nothing has ever come close to being this perfect. I hope they extend this range further!

I have more coming up from Joanie Clothing really soon, including one of their gorgeous bags!

I also have super chunky, wide feet. I can never find a shoe that fits properly. Thanks for the link, I’ve always just shopped at Torrid for wide shoes, and it’s nice to know there are other brands out there that are not super expensive.
