Bodycare Roundup – New Favourites!

Every couple of months I do a big bodycare roundup of all the things I’ve been trying out, some which are new, and others are just new to me. I’m a huge fan of bodycare, but at the same time I’m the typical lazy people who doesn’t want to spend time every single night using 10 different products, so something has to be really special to make me use it constantly!

Magnitone Well Heeled – £24.99

I didn’t know that Magnitone do anything else other than facial brushes, so this was a welcomed surprise! Devices and products for pedicures are SO essential to keep your feet in great condition. You probably all know that feet are the most neglected part of your body, but we use them the most. My mum is into those peeling feet masks, but for those of us whose feet aren’t that far gone, a simple heel buffing machine like this can make all the difference!

This is a dome-shape as it allows the device to reach around your foot and ensure every part is buffed smooth. It comes with two different roller heads for a regular buff, and then an extra buff. It’s also a pretty looking device too, which might be weird to say, but I do love the design!

XO Balm – £12.50

When I saw ‘indie beauty brand’ launching a cream for eczema, I just had to get on board and try it out! Firstly, because I love supporting new brands, and secondly, it just sounded so beautiful. The balm stays really matte looking on the skin, and forms a soft invisible layer. A little really goes a long way with this and it can be used anywhere. With only 4 active ingredients, including beeswax, coconut oil, olive oil, and chia seed oil, you know that you’re not putting anything harmful onto your skin, or anything that could irritate. I’m really impressed with this, the packaging is cute and discrete and it’s definitely something you could carry around with you anywhere. There’s even a mirror in the lid which is probably the cleverest thing I’ve seen in a while! It’s a great price, for a fantastic product, I highly recommend trying this!

Ameliorate Skincare 3 Steps To Smooth Skin £19.50

I didn’t know this had launched and I definitely didn’t expect one in the mail but I was seriously happy with this! I’m a HUGE fan of Ameliorate, I think the products are absolutely incredible, it’s a brand that I’d happily spend money on, and I rave about them so much (even to the staff in Boots when they first launched there). This is a TRAVEL PACK of the Smoothing Body Exfoliant, Nourishing Body Wash, and Transforming Body Lotion, which means if you’re trying to get rid of your ‘chicken skin’, otherwise known as Keratosis pilaris, that you don’t have to miss a few days if you’re travelling or going on holiday. I think it’s such a fantastic idea to keep up with the treatments, and keep your skin in the best possible condition.

I’ve wrote more on Ameliorate before, so check out this post.

Nair Bikini Brush-On Hair Removal Cream – £6.29

My chronic pain has made shaving one of the biggest tasks in my life, and I used to love shaving just for fun! Which means I’m trying to find easier methods, when I eventually shave I’m trying out two different laser hair removal machines, but when shaving is literally too much effort, I’m whacking on hair removal creams. I’m trusting Nair completely for this. I buy them regularly (huge bottle deals on Amazon) and I trust Nair around my bikini area, which obviously you need to be careful with. In the past I’ve experienced burning from over hair removal creams (my arms still bear the scars!), which means now that I’ve found a formula that works, I’m in love! It’s so quick and easy, fool proof really, and much much easier than shaving.

Hempz Age Defying Body Wash – £16.99

In the past when I’ve tried Hempz, I’ve really enjoyed them but I still wasn’t expecting to like a body wash so much. This is SO creamy, nourishing, and a little goes so far. So much so that the first time I used it and used my regular amount, I found myself trying to wash it off for so long! It’s so nourishing and it feels incredible going on, whilst massaging, and taking it off. It’s paraben free, gluten free, and vegan! The reason why it’s so nourishing is because it’s ‘age defying’ and has vitamins A, C, and E. This one smells of vanilla and musk which really just makes me love it more. I think 22 is a tad too young to spend so much on ‘anti-ageing’ body wash, but if and when ageing every becomes an important issue for me, then I know what to buy!

Sebamed Body Range

The Sebamed face range didn’t really help my troubled skin at all (well, the toner was great but that was it), but the Sebamed Body Range happily surprised me! The Liquid Face & Body Wash at £6.46 was fantastic, I didn’t use it on my face, but my skin felt amazing, and everyone else agreed as it disappeared faster than anything else has in long time! The Moisturising Lotion at £7.29 is equally as nice, it sinks in fast and leaves your skin feeling really smooth.

As I mentioned earlier I still have scarred underarms from a reaction to hair removal cream years ago, and it’s left my arms even more sensitive, which mean I was really happy to see a ‘sensitive deodorant’ especially at such a good price of £2.99. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be as this actually started singing and I had to wipe it off. I imagine that this would be great for most people, but for the super sensitive like me, it was a hard pass!

Pearl Drops

By far my favourite tooth paste range! I have really been enjoying the new Pearl Drops Instant Natural White, it has a charcoal formula as it actually a bright purple colour! You can feel the charcoal pieces and it leaves your teeth looking amazing, it’s not the fresh minty taste that so many of us are used to, but you get used to it after a while. It’s £6.99 but look out for deals and offers.

There’s also the new Pearl Drops Pure White Whitening Kit at £25.00, which is a great system of a Brush-on Brightener Serum, Brush-on Activator System, and then a Pure White Tooth Polish. They’re clearly labeled so you can never get confused and there’s noticeable results after the first use! I’ve gone off of teeth whitening products and treatments after a couple failed attempts, I’ve always had slightly off-white teeth and that was before I fell in love with coffee. Pearl Drops always gives me great results and I really notice a difference when I use the family’s favourite Colgate.

Sorefix

So I was asked if I wanted to review some new cold sore balm, and as I usually suffer from them a couple times a year, I said yes! But then I started to worry that maybe I wouldn’t get a cold sore for months, and I even started asking my dad if he felt one coming on, but obviously I jinxed myself as days later my lip swelled! I was naturally furious, but appreciated the great timing as now I didn’t have to wait months to review this! Mega lol. My lip was huge, possibly the biggest cold sore I have ever had the misfortune of having, but days later it seems to have nearly completely vanished! This isn’t like anything I’ve tried before, it’s a super lightweight cream that doesn’t tingle and you really don’t notice you’re wearing it. I haven’t put it on as much as I could have, simply because I work from home, nap a lot, and chronic pain brain fog is annoying me a lot, but I’m really impressed!

It contains an actual UV filter, zinc salt, and Vitamin E, and retails at £7.47.
