Last month I was treated to a beautiful selection of skincare and makeup products from Best BB Creams, an online store that specialises in bringing us the latest Japanese and Korean products at affordable prices. Set up by shopaholic Britta, Best BB Creams only stock the highest rated products, making sure that you’re never disappointed with a purchase. I was so excited to finally get the chance to try out Korean and Japanese skincare, as it’s known to be incredible. Being skincare obsessed myself means that I do have high expectations for products, and it’s not often that I am 100% happy with a product, however, I have been seriously surprised…
TonyMoly Cats Wink Clear Pact, £9.99
First of all, how adorable!? This kitten inspired compact contained a very pigmented, yet light in colour, pressed powder and a compact mirror as well as a sponge applicator. TonyMoly Clear Pact controls oil levels and gives a matte flawless finish without being drying or looking ‘caked on’. It doesn’t flash back at all and works really well at minimising the appearance of pores. There are also no parabens or nasty business inside. I think this may be my new favourite powder as it makes even the thickest (and not the best foundations) look amazing as well as feeling silky soft. I believe this one is the darker 02 shade but still it’s light enough for my pale skin!
Skin Food Peach Sake Silky Finish Powder, £12.99
Definitely a powder for when you won’t be near flash photography at all as it does flash back. However, it’s probably one of the most beautiful finishing and feeling powders I have ever tried. My skin looks and feels amazing with the micro silica powder and the finish is beautifully brightening.
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask, £13.9
This is definitely going to be my new favourite mask. I LOVE clay masks, but normally they’re really thick, heavy and make my skin feel rather dry. This Innisfree clay mask is the complete opposite. It’s lightweight and super creamy, meaning that I can use a really thin layer and get amazing results. The mask ‘absorbs sebum’ (excess oils) and helps to cleanse the pores. It’s suitable for most skin types and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to try out a beautiful mask with instant results. I’ve left this on for 5, 10, 15 minutes, even up to half an hour and I’ve found that, the longer you leave it on, the smoother your skin feels afterwards.
Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder, £9.99
Another beautiful and lightweight powder that is so compact that I’ve been keeping it in my bag. It feels incredibly softening on the skin and has the same brightening and perfecting appearance as the other two powders. It does have an incredibly overpowering flashback, so I definitely wouldn’t use it around a camera. But for everyday use it’s perfect. It’s slightly grainier than the other too, but it applies just the same.
Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream, £7.99
Now, I’m not one to lie and say that this product got me rather excited. In fact, I was rather scared to use it but if it’s for the blog, I will do it! (To a certain extent anyway). This gel serum has a lightweight feel that is almost slimey (see what I did there?) to touch. It’s incredibly moisturising and perfect for night time. I’ve been putting a thick layer of this gel on before I sleep and I wake up with flawlessly nourished skin. It contains 74% filtered nail mucus which is to ‘reinforce the skin’ and keep it hydrated. It works, so I can’t complain at all. It doesn’t smell of anything and feels like a luxurious serum but leaves a matte finish. I’m definitely going to continue using it as so far it’s been delightful and really beneficial.
Innisfree It’s Real Green Tea Mask, £2.69
I didn’t know what to expect when opening this packet as I don’t normally use these types of facemasks. Mainly because I once tried a very cheap, supermarket version and I found it to do nothing. Clearly the fault is in my sentence as you really should try one from a company who know what they’re doing. This Innisfree Green Tea Mask is absolutely heavenly for after long days or just when your skin needs a beautiful pick me up. It’s cooling and moisturising and it doesn’t dry out easily either. I got a good 30 minutes from wearing this mask until I took it off. It made my skin feel ridiculously soft and hydrated as well as clearer and less red. Overall, it’s an absolutely amazing mask.
Missha Creamy Latte Strawberry Cleansing Foam, £7.99
Finally, a product that straight away, I thought I was going to dislike. Mainly because normally strawberry scented products do not smell like strawberries at all, they’re normally more of an artificial sickly smell. Fortunately, this Missha cleansing foam masked the sickly sweet strawberries with more of a cream smell. Followed by its incredible creamy texture and very surprising makeup removing capabilities. I’ve been playing around with Halloween ideas a lot lately, so I’ve needed a really good cleanser to take everything off afterwards and this definitely came to the rescue. It’s a huge bottle for just £7.99 and a little does indeed go a long way. It doesn’t leave the skin feeling tight or dry, just ridiculously clean.
As you can tell, I’m really happy with pretty much everything from Best BB Creams, the prices are affordable and the products are truly amazing, even the unusual ones. I cannot recommend Japanese and Korean skincare enough so head on over and give Best BB Creams a browse!
