Antipodes Skincare

Antipodes is one of those brands that even though you’ve only tried a couple products, they made a massive impact for you to say that you actually love that brand. The first two products I tried from Antipodes was the Vanilla Pod Facial Cream and my favourite product from them, the Manuka Honey Face Mask. I’ve only just finished the Vanilla Pod cream as I save it for when my skin really needs a pamper, and I go sparingly on the honey face mask, as it quite literally is a skincare saviour. It’s the product that you run to when your face is dry and flaky and you need a quick but long term fix. The Aura Manuka Honey Mask  retails at £27.56 and it is seriously worth every single penny. Not only does it cleanse the skin, but it deeply hydrates it too.

The main point in this point is to talk about the newly released Worship Superfruit Antioxidant Serum at £33.99. A serum developed to help against the signs of ageing by targeting skin at a cellular level. It contains antioxidant extracts from a New Zealand grown Superfruit complex called Vinanza Oxifend Plus, with kiwi, blackcurrant, boysenberry, coffee berry and more. Described as a ‘daily shot of youth’ this product is meant to be amazing at anti-ageing, but obviously being 20 with no signs of ageing, I can’t really judge that much right now.

Next up is the Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream at £34.38, another rather impressive sounded cream as it’s meant to stimulate collagen by up to 92%, but it has been tested in incubation and does not mean that it will stimulate the collagen deep under the outer layer of your skin by 92%. I really don’t agree with the whole collagen claim but you know, moving on… This is basically another super moisturising cream that even have manuka honey in it too. It helps to reverse the effects of natural damage such as pollution and sunlight by hydrating the skin and putting lots of nice oils onto it, such as avocado oil.

Most skincare is aimed at anti-ageing now, and now I’m nearly 21, I guess I should start. I’m clearly joking and I actually have ridiculously oily skin, so I’ll age a low slower than most, but I’m just pointing this out so you don’t come to me for anti-ageing advice. All I can tell you if how the products feel on my 20 year old skin, and what they claim to do to older skin than mine. Anyway, last up is the Grapeseed Butter Cleanser at £25.80, another anti-ageing product. This is beyond moisturising, like literally an oil slip of goodness, it even comes with a little spoon. The butter melts onto your skin to provide one of the most luxurious facials I’ve ever gave myself.
With Lavender and chamomile, you know you’re in safe and comforting hands with this one. It’s definitely a great product to use with a hot cloth and really just pamper your skin whilst gently exfoliating it. This is absolutely one of the most perfect products for when your skin is feeling dry, or is normally dry as it’s basically an oil cleanser.

Even though most of these products are aimed for skin older than mine, I do absolutely adore the products and Antipodes, it’s a brand that I’d recommend to anyone. It’s perfection from the ingredients, even to the beautiful looking packaging.
