Ann Summers #AfterParty Range with an Izabel London Dress

Not too long ago Ann Summers launched their After Party range which featured lingerie, that could be styled and worn on a day-to-day basis. It’s all about those real statement pieces, the ones that are a little more daring and revealing being worn as the ultimate outerwear instead of underwear. Perfect for layering and adding a real edge to your outfits. I thought this would be the perfect way to do one of those posts where you take a Summery outfit, and turn it so it’s suitable and especially warmer, for Winter. Unfortunately the range isn’t fat friendly for anyone over a size 16, but as I do have a lot of readers that aren’t plus size, Ann Summer kindly sent me things that would fit me (as they do cater up to a 26, but only have a very limited range.)

Therefore, I received the Ann Summers Sascha Robe which I decided to style in the same way, as outerwear and I really didn’t think it was going to work at first, but I love the photos of this look. The Sascha Robe is beyond generous and usually the Large should fit a size 16-18 but I’m a size 20 and there’s plenty of room. I’d imagine anyone up to a 24 would be comfortable in this actually. The robe is £40 and for the quality, it is really worth it. I love my lace so that’s really easily for me to say, but it’s amazing quality and I can see me getting plenty of wear out of this.

The dress I’m wearing is an adorable number from Izabel London, a brand that I had never heard of before but now, I’m quite impressed with. Their Plus Size range caters from 16-28, which is a lot better than most, hopefully we’ll see this expand to 32 in the future.
The Polka Dot Vintage Dress has a halter neck and normally I would stay away from them, but I was accidentally sent an 18 (as I asked for an 18 in an item that ended up being out of stock) so it was a really spot on fit all over. It meant that my bust was so fitted in the dress that I didn’t technically need the support of tying it, so I just attached it to my bra instead. It also meant that my waist was so fitted and perfect, I’d even recommend for everyone to size down as it really is so comfortable when it’s really fitted. To create the more Wintery edge on what should be a Summery dress, I added a pair of my trusty Evans leggings, and I’d most likely wear chunky boots with this if I was going out. It’s a super comfortable outfit, and to say it’s mostly black, I feel quite fun and playful in it.- Just a side note, I LOVE my makeup in these photos and it’s 80% Makeup Atelier Paris with the Foundation, Brows, Eyeshadow and Lipstick.
